Transitive Verb:A transitive verb is a verb that needs an object to complete its meaning.
It answers the questions “what?” or “whom?” after the verb.
Examples:
Intransitive Verb:
An intransitive verb is a verb that does not need an object.
The sun rises in the east.
(We ask “Where does the sun rise?” The answer is “in the east,” which is not an object.)
The match started at six.
(We ask “When did the match start?” The answer is “at six,” which is not an object.)
